Hard Drives can be difficult to choose these days. Plenty of brands to pick from with a pretty broad spectrum of performance and styles.
My PC already had a Samsung M2 NVMe HD (primary) and a Sandisk SSD (Secondary) which I use for dual booting windows/linux. I needed an internal HD for backup and sharing between the two platforms. Hence this Toshiba.
Toshiba has a long history (especially with me) of making good quality, long lasting HDD's. Many of my previous desktops have been retired with a working HDD (which I remove) after 10 years with Toshiba drives still functioning very well (not as new but then you get that after extended use).My only complaint is that I can't seem to mount this into my drive bay in a Corsair 680C (queit) case and I can only slide it into the bay (not screw it in).
